There is no doubt people are plagued by the problem of sin. The tragedy is, believers have set aside the clarity and simplicity of the word of God and are buying in to the empty, hollow, futility of the world's plan. God's plan is for me to be a sanctified, holy person. I am to present my members to righteousness, practice righteousness, do right. I don't need to be turned to the inside, I don't need to go back 20 years and understand what happened and why I did it and why somebody else did it to me. God couldn't have said it any more directly, any more simply. His plan for man is clear and simple. Step l: Believe the gospel. That results in justification.
Step 2: Obey the word of God. That's sanctification. You can summarize God's plan for man, believe the gospel, obey the word. Obedience is the key that pervades it.
