So if anyone is in Christ: New Creation! Everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; (2Cor. 5:17-18).
We are created, redeemed, and glorified with a teleological bent, to move purposefully toward the telos. To continue in the Word of Christ is to be 'free indeed' (John 8:36); free to participate by faith in the Life of God.
In Union with the Triune God, we share in the fruitful mandate for creation (Psalm 8), making his plan known to the nations (Eph. 3:8-9). We participate (2Peter 1:4)—and will partake—in the divine nature (Theosis).
Saved by grace (Eph. 2:8), kept by grace, 'we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life' (Eph. 2:10).
Prayer: O Lord, may we embrace our vocation as people of hope, 'proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and [hopefully] without hindrance' (Acts 28:31). All this, amid less-than-ideal circumstances in this age (Acts 29 ☺). All praise and glory to You: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
