There is no excuse for a believer to sin and there is full responsibility to exercise the will to deny sin and sinful desires because of what God has done and provides those who are saved. The indwelling Spirit of God is the new divine power source to resist temptation and residual desires of the flesh. The new heart and mind of the believer will grow in understanding righteousness as well as the desire to do what is righteous. For a believer to live like they did before being born again is a contradiction of the faith professed and a failure to realize the seriousness of sin.
