Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ:
It is easy to say all who don't believe Jesus died for their sins will go to hell. We confess it together. But it is harder to believe in our hearts all men, women, boys, girls, and the elderly who don't believe in Jesus will howl in the pains of hell for eternity. We confess the truth, but it is harder to believe it. If the truth truly sank in and we believed it, we'd want to tell more people about the horrors of hell or support and pray for those who are telling others about the horrors of hell. Similarly, it is easy to say, "God is almighty." We all do it regularly when we read the Bible or the Belgic Confession. But it is much harder to believe God has the power to control all sicknesses, all governments, all disasters, and all of man's thoughts, words, and actions! If we did believe this, we wouldn't be so worried. To fix this, we must preach of God's almighty power so this doctrine will sink in.
