God is not neutral. He is not a pacifist to settle things down and agree to peace on any terms. No, God will fight. He will fight for truth, for he will never sell it out. God will fight for His own name, for he is a jealous God, who is filled with zeal for His own glory. God will fight for righteousness. He will burst open eternity to maintain his own righteousness. God is at war with the devil, with sin and with all ungodliness. And they are at war with Him. Who will win this battle? There is only one conclusion. Read the Book of Revelation and you will know how the battle ends with satan cast down to perdition, the abominable and the wicked will be call out into outer darkness. God will come down with the New Jerusalem to reign in power and Glory – through Christ he shall win.
So, this is the truth that bolster’s David in his fight against this Giant who stands 10 feet tall, a monster with a roar of a wild beast, But David knows that His God is able to bring him down, even through puny little David, the shepherd boy.
