The Truth that we will consider: The father would have his servants to put sandals on his son's feet when he returned to him in repentance. He would give his servants this responsibility to do this. The sandals of this Parable represent the fact that ministers and other godly Christians will want to encourage new Christians and young believers to engage in a holy walk and be a good witness before other people. The feet represent the walk of the Chrisitan. The sandals represent spiritually what is worn on the walk.
