It's hard for the rich to get into heaven and not many make it, but there is a way. Of course, the way is repentance from sin and faith in Christ, but there is a way that looks for rich Christians. If you are rich, you are not to be conceited about your money, acting like it makes you more important than others. You are not to fix your hope on your riches, but on God. You are to be rich in good works and be generous with your money. Paul finishes the letter (and we finish it today as well) with instructions for Timothy. He is to guard what has been entrusted to him (the Gospel), he is to avoid worldly and empty chatter and he is to avoid the opposing arguments of what is falsely called knowledge.
