“ Serving the Lord. ” Thank you for making real to me this blessed women! What a great dedication and love for Christ it was to follow Him everywhere He went, serving Him! Her devotion for her sons is understandable. However, I think that not only her sons, but she also erred when she came to the Lord with her request. She dared to ask Him something what was only the authority of God to determine and to bestow (verse 23), not of a man or woman to wish or ask! She had a parental love for her sons, but she erred in spiritual things here.
