I have said that Calvinism's view of God's sovereignty is not true to the definition of the word, and is not true to the teaching of the Bible. In this session we conclude on this word and then we will look at the subject of election. It is sometimes viewed that non-Calvinists do not like the word "election." "But," the Calvinist says, "it is used in the Bible. It is a biblical subject." It is not so much the word "election" that non-Calvinists do not appreciate, but the Calvinistic view of what they say it means.
Another much misused word in Calvinism, in my understanding of the matter is the word "predestination." It is commonly thought that when God predestines something that guarantees it will happen but that is not what it means as we will show in this session.
