We are looking at the Faithfulness of (1) God, (2) Christ, and (3) God's people (1) Faithfulness of God - He is faithful in His Being. - Flows from his immutability - He is faithful in His promises to His people. - He is faithful in His discipline of His people. - He is faithful in His preservation of His people. (2) Faithfulness of Christ - He was faithful as a man. - Faithfulness was prophesied of Him. - He was faithful to God's law. - He was faithful in His ministry (to deliver His people from death and make reconciliation for them) - He is faithful right now in His session (as High Priest interceding for His people, ministering as a Prophet to speak to His people, and as a King ruling over His people) (3) Faithfulness of God's people - David, Abraham and Moses are described in Scripture as being faithful. - God requires that we be faithful - We have examples in Scripture to encourage us to be faithful (in the failures and the trials of God's people)
