Jesus heals people. Jesus does it because He has authority to do it. God answers prayer, though sometimes we pray and God leaves people unhealed, they may be receiving healing in ways we do not understand. In order to be in authority, you have to be under authority. If you are a parent who wants your children to obey, you must be under authority. All of us are flawed people and we all need to know who we are in authority over and who we are under authority. We must keep in mind that no-one has authority to require what God forbids or forbid what God requires. It is our relationship with Jesus Christ that determines our salvation. God’s word is alive, powerful, and sharper than a 2-edged sword. Jesus is always perfectly obedient to God the Father. Jesus heals today and the Bible means what it says and says what it means.
