If we want to know what God is like, we need to look at Jesus; He Jesus is God. Jesus tells us that unless we become like little children, we will not enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus died so that the debt we owed would be paid in full. In this passage, the disciples saw the little children as a distraction to Jesus. Jesus, instead, calls the children to Himself. Money is not an indication that God is pleased with us. However, we are responsible to God with the money we have. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. If we think of sinful things, we are not to act upon those thoughts. If the stuff we have, or anything else, means more to us than our relationship with Jesus, then we are sinning. Loving anything other then Jesus is a sin problem. Everything belongs to God. Jesus came to die to take away our sin.
