I. Christ has been seated in the place of infinite power. He is the One running the whole show. Everything that happens in the world, indeed in the whole universe, is the outworking of the reign of Christ and His providence
II. Christ is FAR above all rule and power and authority. All authority has been given to him in heaven and on earth. There are many other powers and their power is considerable. But they are not worth comparing to Christ's power and authority. He is FAR above them.
III. Not only in this age, but in the one to come. His kingdom is forever and will have no end. He will never resign, never complete a finite term in office and never be assassinated.
IV. All things are put in subjection under His feet. This is an accomplished fact, even though we do not yet see all things put in subjection to Christ.
V. Christ is head over all things TO THE CHURCH. He governs all things for the good and benefit and blessing of His bride, the church.
VI. The church is Christ's body and His fullness. Just as Eve was created to complement Adam, so the church was chosen to be a complement to Christ, the Head.
