Those who strive to live a righteous life will be delivered from many of the devastating consequences of sin. A conscience free of unresolved guilt and malice is one of the joys that accompany right living. There is also the freedom of being delivered from the paranoia of a vindictive enemy. However, the true deliverance that is granted to those who strive to live a godly life is the deliverance from the judgment of God. On the other hand, those who live a life of rebellion will fall. It may appear, for a season, that rebels are free from consequences, but their fall will come. As a matter of fact, the fall seems to come upon them at once, in a time that is completely unexpected. If we would be wise, we must understand that we will reap what we sow.
