There are two categories of people spoken of in this passage. The first category is the tempter, who seeks to lead the godly astray. The second category is the upright. We would be wise to be aware of these two categories, as we seek to discern friend from foe. Notice the very differ destinations that await these two individuals. The one, who seek to destroy the righteous, will himself be destroyed. However, the one, who strives to be upright, will prosper. Where do you find yourself today? Do you seek to be a godly influence to those around you, or are you trying to influence others toward rebellion in order to feel better about your own cold heart? The God of all justice, will reward you according to your actions.
