How has life treated you? Are there some things you long to change? Maybe you’d like to have a few less medical bills, a few less issues with health, a more reliable car, or a kinder boss. We often fixate on the things we would like to change, and those desired changes can become idolatrous objects of desire. Do you have the Lord? Has He made Himself known to you and revealed His glory in the face of Jesus? If so, you have it really good. You have it better, better than any other imaginable or desired scenario that does not include Him. Really, it’s true. Any other scenario (think really big and really exotic) would be far worse than the one you currently live if Jesus Christ was not in you. This is not meant to minimize the pain and suffering Christians sometimes endure. Yet, it remains true. If you are walking righteously, your best life now is the one you are currently experiencing because God Himself is writing the story of your life for His own glory and for your eternal good.
