Believer, when God imputed sin to us in the court of our conscience was it a just charge? By Adam’s disobedience in breaking the law we were made unrighteous. Also, in natural generation, by Adam’s corrupt seed we were made partakers of Adam’s unholy nature. So yes. When God imputed sin unto us it was a just charge because unrighteousness and ungodliness is exactly what Adam made us.
When God imputed righteousness to us in the court of our conscience was it a just charge? By Christ’s obedience in fulfilling the law we were made righteous. Also, by supernatural regeneration, by Christ’s incorruptible seed we were made partakers of Christ’s holy nature. So yes. When God imputed righteousness unto us it was a just charge because righteousness and holiness is exactly what Christ made us.

Someone rightfully said, “The stone that commemorates our lives should bear no name but one, and this should be all that is read upon it: ‘Now unto Him that kept us from falling, unto Him be glory!”
Here I raise mine Ebenezer, Hither by Thy Help I’m come,
And I hope by thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at Home

SO GREAT SALVATION (Heb. 2:3)
The salvation that has been devised by man and is preached by man is not a great salvation at all. The salvation man has devised is a small salvation. The salvation man devised must be earned by man’s decision and kept by man’s ability to live a moral life. The salvation man has devised is small because it only reaches the flesh and does not address the issue of original sin nor can it give a new heart of faith and love.
God’s salvation of His people is a great salvation!
God’s salvation is a great salvation because it is purposed by the great God, who is greater than any idol. “For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods” (Psalm 95:3)
God’s salvation is great because the great Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, purchased it with His own life. The angel said, “Call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest” (Luke 1:21-32).
God’s salvation is great because it flows from the great mercy of God. “Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD” (Psalm 119:56).
God’s salvation is great because it was purchased for God’s elect in great love. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
God’s salvation is great because it can only come from the great power of God. “Great is our Lord, and of great power” (Psalm 147:5).
God’s salvation is great because God saves great sinners, even the chief of sinners. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (I Tim 1:15).
God’s salvation is great because it reveals the true greatness of God. “Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD” (Psalm 138:5).
There is nothing that keeps a man out of heaven but his own will. But, there is nothing that will keep a man out of hell but God’s will. Eternal life is by God’s will, God’s gift, and God’s work (Romans 9:16; 6:23; II Timothy 1:9). But eternal death is the result of man’s will, man’s work, and man’s merit (Proverbs 1:23-26; Romans 6:23; 10:21).
