Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
To many this is a big day. Today I turn 50. Also, it is my 27th wedding Anniversary. It is time for reflcetion. I have been extremely blessed. I could write a multitude of pages to explain the blessings which I have received from God in my life. God has given me so much. I am truly grateful to Him.
Let me share with you a post I made last night as I thought about today. Thank you for reading my blog. I hope it is a blessing to you as you read it each day.
27 years ago, I was 22, thinking about what the future might hold. I could never have imagined the path the Lord had designed for me to walk. The last 27 years have been nothing short of spectacular. Kimberly has been such a faithful, loving, awesome wife. God has blessed me with 2 fantastic kids which have been a true pleasure to raise. The path which God had chosen for me included a fork which I could never would have guessed would be in my path. For the last 20 years, I have been the pastor of a great church. WOW, did I just type that? I have been a pastor for 20 years. Thank you members of Emmanuel Baptist church for putting up with me. Who would have thought it? God has truly done exceedingly abundantly above all that I could ask or think in the last 27 years. I am thankful for His blessings. I am so thankful for Kimberly. As I have said many times, in all my dreams of what my wife would be, I could never have imagined I would be blessed the way I have been blessed by the gift God has given me for a wife. Now, I will be 50 tomorrow. That is amazing. It is hard to believe. I am so blessed. Thank you Lord for saving me. Thank you for working in my life. Thank you for giving me a life which I could never have dreamed of. You are awesome God. I don't know why you have chosen to bless me so, but I am thankful. May my life always be a living sacrifice, a testimony to your amazing grace.
