For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 55:17
BE CLOTHED WITH HUMILITY (1 Peter 5:5)
If you want to be useful to God’s church, ask God to give you humility, for God is only served in humility (Acts 20:19). A humble person is a great blessing to others and it is easy to be with a humble person. We are most Christ-like when we are humble (Phil. 2:5-7). A humble person will be thankful because he knows he doesn’t deserve anything. A humble person won’t be a boaster because he knows he doesn’t have anything to boast in except Christ. A humble person won’t be lifted up with pride because he knows everything he has God gave him and everything he is God made him. A humble person has a teachable attitude because he knows he doesn’t know it all. A humble person will forgive easily and assumes the best of others. A humble person is a happy person because he is content with whatever God has seen fit to give him. A humble person is a gracious person because God gives grace to the humble (I Peter 5:5). A humble person will submit to the will of God in all things: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (I Peter 5:6). Oh to be a humble person!

The Most Difficult Thing:
The most difficult thing for any of us to do is to TOTALLY and COMPLETELY trust and rest in our blessed Lord Jesus to redeem us, sanctify us, and make us accepted of the Father. We are prone to self-righteousness and works that we have a constant battle trying to remember that "man at His BEST STATE is altogether vanity," and in his WEAKEST MOMENTS is no less loved and accepted if he is in Christ. As Bro. Fortner said, "My relationship with the eternal God (in Christ) does in great measure determine what I do. But what I do (good or bad) in no way determines my relationship with the eternal God." Actually, "In my flesh dwelleth NO GOOD THING." "In the flesh no man can please God."
It is in Christ that the Father is well pleased; and only in Christ can He love, accept and be pleased with me. I did not come to Christ on the basis of my works, nor am I kept in Christ on the basis of my works! I looked to Him THEN for ALL THINGS and I look to Him NOW for ALL THINGS! Any look within will serve only to discourage and depress me; but looking to Christ, the author and finisher of my faith, will only encourage me, for He never changes. His gift of life and calling to grace is without change. The command, "Look unto Me and be ye saved," is not only the hope and strength of the seeking sinner, but it is the constant hope and strength of the believing sinner.
I know my sins, but I rejoice in His grace. I know my weakness, but I rest in His strength. I know my emptiness, but I am complete in Him. "O what peace we often forfeit O what needless pain we bear," all because we do not cast our sins, our souls on Christ and LEAVE THEM THERE!

SAFE IN HIS HANDS
"His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me" – Song of Solomon 2:6.
Our salvation in Christ is sure, safe and certain as the powerful hands of God (Dan. 4:35; John 10:27-30). Believer, you are in good hands with Christ, being made one with Him (John 17:22).
His hands are sovereign hands able to save. "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Heb. 7:25).
His hands are strong hands able to keep us from falling. "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy," (Jude 1:24).
His hands are tender hands able to teach us the way of salvation. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls" (Matt. 11:28-29).
His hands are wise hands able to guide us. "For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand (Psalm 95:7).
His hands are loving hands that were wounded to put away our sin. "Now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself " (Heb. 9:26).
His hands are caring hands able to supply all our need in Him. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:19).
His hands are victorious hands able to receive us to Himself in glory forever. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:3).
Believer, aren't you pleased that you are in His hands? Aren't you delighted that “His left hand is under you and His right hand does embrace you and receive you?” Oh, how happy and thankful we are to be in His sovereign, wise, strong, tender, loving caring and victorious hands, under His continual care and rejoicing in Him and His great salvation.
