And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20
A TRUE CHILD OF GOD
A person is not a child of God, righteous before God and justified by mere name, nationality, profession and ceremony. True circumcision is not outward but is an inward work of grace in the heart (Rom. 2:28-29).
A person is a true Jew, a redeemed person who has a work of grace in the heart, who has renounced his works, who has looked to Christ Jesus only, who worships God in Spirit and truth, who has the law of God written on his heart and not in his hand and whose praise is from God not from men (Psalm 34:18).

“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25.40)
Each of us might say or think, “I would do anything for the Lord Jesus Christ.” And that is true if, indeed, He has saved our souls. But what can we do for Him? Actually, there is nothing we can do that would benefit Him for He is in need of nothing. He is not hungry, naked, or in prison. He is not sick, poor or lonely. He is not weak and in need of help. He is not bewildered and in need of counsel. He is not wandering and in need of our guidance. So what could we possibly do for Him?
There is only one way to “do something for the Lord Jesus”– do something for His people! To do good for the Lord’s brethren is to do good for the Lord. In fact, it is the only way we can “help” the Lord. When we comfort one another, it is as though we comfort the Lord, Himself. When we feed one of the Lord’s brethren, it is as though we have fed the Lord, Himself. When we love one another, we love the Lord, Himself.
It is one thing to profess an inward love for the Lord and announce a willingness to serve Him. It is another thing altogether to actually love Him by “works of faith and labors of love” visited on those the Lord calls “brethren.” Let us be constrained by our love for Christ to love the brethren and be zealous to do good works in their behalf! WHO IS THE BLESSED PERSON? (Psalm 32:1-2)
Who would you say is the truly blessed man? Most people would probably say; well, it is the person who has good health, “if you have good health you have everything.” To them I would answer, good health is only temporary. One day soon the flesh must wither and die and after that is judgment (Psalm 103:14; Isa. 40:6). Others might answer that the person who is wealthy, surely he is a blessed man. Again, wealth may purchase a lot of things and influence many people, but we can be sure that we are not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold (1 Peter 1:18).
David in Psalm 32 gives us the right answer to this very important and sobering question. "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." Truly, here is the statement of the Almighty God that identifies who is truly blessed. It is the person who through the bloody sacrifice of Jesus Christ, (the sinner’s Substitute) has had his sin covered by the effectual atonement of the appointed Lamb (Heb. 2:17; John 1:29); his transgressions are forgiven because the Saviour took our sins and judgment to Himself (1 Peter 3:18). Our Lord also declares unto us that the believer is blessed, because the Lord will not impute, charge or reckon our iniquities unto us (Rom. 8:1; Rom. 4:6).
In the light of this scripture and many others throughout the Word of God, who would you say is truly blessed of God? Certainly it is plain to see, it is the believer who is resting the whole of his salvation in Jesus Christ the Righteous (1 John 2:1-2). Carefully read the following scripture. "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit"(Jer. 17:5-8).
