The Call of Isaiah, Lesson Outline, Part 2 , Is your God to be feared?
The call of Isaiah, Lesson Outline Judah is headed down. His son learned some good things from him, but grandson , Ahaz , turned away altogether.52 years of Uzziah. The nation got used to him being king. Rare longevity. But he died . they all do. III. Isaiah Sees the Lord:
6:1 King is dead, but Isaiah sees the Lord . Do you? Does our nation? Are we still believing that Obama or Bush or any politician can save us? Our nation is in trouble like Israel. Who will get positioned to where he can see the Lord? "But Isaiah was a prophet", Paul says we all can prophesy. Get before God, let him make you holy and then ask him to give you messages from Heaven. Seek the Lord. You will see Him by faith. Maybe other ways. He makes prophets of those who seek Him. No need to seek the office, seek Him. sitting on a throne high and lifted up . Is that the Lord whom you know? False gods today, not very powerful, not very respected, chummy. they do what people tell them to do, ordered around by their creation. Twisting of the faith message until our God becomes nothing more than a genie. Can your god say "No"? If not he is not the God of the Bible, who is a loving Father, who knows how to give good gifts, not just any gifts any time.Fear of the Lord is the beginning. First lesson we should be teaching our child is respect. He walked on earth but He is high and lifted up. He lives in our heart but He is high and lifted up. "You are my friends" BUT "if you do what I COMMAND you" Peter's response, I am a sinful man, depart from me. He wanted this Jesus but he realized, this man is too holy, way out there... If you are connected to the true God, you will see yourself as poor and hopeless and helpless without God.
