PUT THEM IN REMEMBRANCE II Timothy 2:14 We shouldn’t preach trying to tell something new and we shouldn’t listen trying to hear something new. We should preach so that God’s people are reminded of Christ and we should listen so we are reminded of Christ. Our Lord instructed us to observe the Lord’s table so that we would be reminded of His sacrifice for the sin of His people. “This do in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). If we are reminded of Christ we will be drawn to Christ, we will feed upon Christ, and we will continue to rest in Christ. Let’s seek to be reminded of Christ as often as possible until that day when we see Christ face to face. Then we won’t need to be reminded anymore.
GOD’S GLORY
The whole scheme of works salvation is totally dependent upon man and looks inward for all hope, happiness, help, and holiness; making man the principle object of worship, preeminence and glory. But, the whole scheme of God’s salvation is dependent upon Jesus Christ, the appointed Mediator and Substitute for sinners. This scheme of salvation looks Godward for all hope, happiness, help, and holiness; making Jesus Christ the principle object of all worship, preeminence and glory. “God forbid that I should glory save in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.” The grand design of God’s salvation is the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:4-5; 1 Cor. 1:30-31).

The more Christ increases in my estimation and the more I decrease in my estimation, the more useful I will be.
A SILLY QUESTION
“Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?”(John 14:22)
Do you remember dog whistles? They emitted a very high frequency sound that humans cannot hear, but dogs can. The purpose for dog whistles is to make a way to call one’s dog without disturbing the neighbors.
Every once in a while a discussion rises over just how little of the truth one can believe and yet rightly be called a Christian. In truth, it is a silly question, for there can be no useful purpose served by the answer. If we discovered the answer, would we then confine ourselves to only that “essential truth” and preach no more? I hardly think so.
There is a better way to discover who the Lord’s are. The truth is like a dog whistle: all the Lord’s dogs can hear it, but no one else can. God calls His dogs, but the neighbors cannot hear it. We need not try to discover the lowest frequency that these dogs can hear but others cannot. Rather, we need only to take up that Divine dog whistle of the “whole counsel of God” and blow it. All those who come are the Lord’s dogs; all those who do not come prove they did not hear; and they did not hear because they could not hear: they aren’t dogs!

Heaven is only heaven because that is where Christ will be. Eternal life is only wonderful because eternity will be spent with Christ our God. To be a child of God is to be an heir of all that is God's, but the amazing thing about being an heir is being a joint-heir with the Lord Jesus Christ. To live eternally without sin is a glorious and wonderful thought, but to live forever with Him who was made to be sin for us, is beyond my comprehension. Christ is heaven to the child of God.

Those that think one God too little will find two too many, and yet hundreds not sufficient.
