There are two applications for you today. First, in some sense, you are the king of a mini-kingdom. Whether you are in a position of authority at work, at home, or just over your own life, the principle applies to you. You have the power to bless through righteousness, and you have the power to abuse through evil. And as the history of great nations has proven, your kingdom will endure or fall based on how you live your life. Secondly, there is only one kingdom that has and will endure. It is the kingdom where Christ reigns in the hearts and affections of believers. He has and will continue to do right, and His design is to bless. Your mini-kingdom will only thrive as you submit your life to His good, kind, and enduring rule.
