Julie Anne Smith is at the helm of a new, incredibly destructive, well-coordinated, slander-blogging, slander-tweeting movement. With every passing week these slander-bloggers (spiritualsoundingboard.com, thewartburgwatch.com, fbcjaxwatchdog.blogspot.com, calvarychapelabuse.com, etc.) are more organized and united in their reviling assault of Biblical churches and pastors everywhere. They have wielded their "abuse" slander against many of the well-known pastoral luminaries of the conservative Christian world. There is no ministry or pastor that they will not take on with their “abuse” slander. It clearly is a growing movement. Growing larger, bolder, and more brazen with each success. They are actively raising up, training up, and coming alongside of rebel slanderers against Christ's Church everywhere. Julie Anne Smith has emerged as a chief prophetess, voice, and visionary of the cyberbullying group. She is charting out a grassroots plan to unleash destruction everywhere.
The slander-blogging, slander-tweeting methodology is to attack pastors and churches across America by finding “abuse” here, finding “abuse” there, and finding “abuse” everywhere. They gather unsubstantiated rumors of "abuse" and report them as fact, or probable fact, which is just as harmful. "ABUSE," defined as broadly as possible, is their term, their rally cry, and their weapon. Julie Anne and her antinomian, egalitarian, liberal, pseudo-christian friends declare Biblical pastoral authority to be intolerable “spiritual abuse” (See Pastors Who Behave Like They Are Your Boss, by Julie Anne Smith). To disagree with them theologically is “spiritual abuse.” Teaching a literal account of Genesis (Young Earth Creationism) is “intellectual/spiritual abuse.” Tithing is “financial/spiritual abuse.” Church discipline is “spiritual rape.” Biblical parenting (loving corporal discipline) is “emotional/physical/spiritual abuse.” Expressing concerns (wrong or right) about the pill causing abortions is “spiritual abuse.” The concept of a loving father giving his daughter a purity ring is attacked as “spiritual incest.” Julie Anne and her friends accuse the loving, African-American father, who gave his daughter a purity ring (from the popular Gospel proclaiming movie, Courageous) of displaying and encouraging “SPIRITUAL INCEST.” That is the nature and method of master slanderers; take something beautiful and make it a disgusting, perverse accusation.
Julie Anne Smith and her cyberbully/slander-blogging friends are actively recruiting people for class action lawsuits against pastors and ministries, yet when a pastor or ministry utilizes the same legal system to protect themselves and their families from vicious life destroying slander, they are hypocritically railed against with slogans like, “Who would Jesus sue?” Julie Anne gives instruction to women on how to contact the press with catchy, slanderous, destructive phrases that the press will grab a hold of and run with. She pleads for her readers to send in fresh stories of “abuse” to be used as her blog fodder, and every life destroying story, family destroying story, church destroying story, and/or pastor destroying story she receives is accepted as absolute truthwithout question and then it is thrown onto the World Wide Web to reap a whirl wind of destruction upon families, churches, and pastors.
Do these slander-bloggers ever report genuine abuse? Yes, even broken and corrupt clocks are right twice a day. Any genuine abuse that these slanderers may happen to report is used to give legitimacy to the plethora of hearsay, gossip, and reviling accusations meant to destroy pastors and churches everywhere. These websites are the National Enquirer of the Christian world, regularly reporting sensationalized and unsubstantiated smut as fact.
RIGHT NOW, Julie Anne is helping to lead out an unprecedented media blitz designed to destroy a man and his wife globally. She is encouraging people to get their “rage” up and to act upon it (Take a look at #WHOWOULDJESUSSUE: A CALL TO ACTION). This is lynch mob mentality. The fundamental American legal principle of being “innocent until proven guilty” is being turned on its head by slander-bloggers while they hide behind the abuse of the fundamental American right to Free Speech. Global internet "abuse" defamation is not Free Speech. These slander-bloggers have pronounced a man and his wife “GUILTY” and they are telling the entire world. That is called global slander. It is a full-scale, life destroying, ministry destroying cyberbully (twitter, facebook, blog, email, text, etc.) assault upon a man and wife based upon hearsay. Any church, any pastor, or ANYONE this slander-blogging movement picks out as their next target will be pronounced “GUILTY” and then virtually slain before the watching eyes of the world. Julie Anne drives her victims toward their destruction in her VIRTUAL ELECTRIC CHAIR (twitter, facebook, blogs, emails, texts, etc.) with her “abuse” sword firmly stuck in their backs.
Genuine abuse is terrible and life destroying.Being falsely accused of abuse is also terrible and life destroying. Genuine abuse harms women, children, and sometimes even men. False accusations of abuse also harm women, children, and are often used to ruin men. The families, churches, and pastors that Julie Anne and her lynch mob attack are forced to live under the crushing weight of being found "GUILTY" of abuse in the court of public opinion on the World Wide Web, without the benefit of a defense attorney, judge, jury, or an appeal process. The cyberbully/slander-bloggers are not satisfied to allow the real court system to decide guilt and deliver a verdict. They solicit and receive accusations of abuse on the internet that they can't possibly know the validity of. They then pass their "GUILTY" verdict globally on the internet. Next, they cry out for the world to rise up in a "rage" to destroy the "GUILTY ABUSER/S" in their church, circle of friends, denomination, community, and in the press. Finally, they demand that the "GUILTY ABUSER/S" friends and associations join the cyberbully attack or they begin their assault upon the friends and associations connected to the "GUILTY ABUSER/S." It is an amazingly effective and destructive form of vicious slander. Just ask my wife, my children, and the families of Beaverton Grace Bible Church.
Slander-blogging is real. The destruction it reaps is real. Men and women are being harmed. Families are being harmed. Churches and ministries are being harmed. The day of “innocent until proven guilty” is seemingly over. Julie Anne's new world of "guilty because I say so on my blog, tweets, and facebook" has arrived.
*Julie Anne’s spiritualsoundingboard.com slander-blog and her recent “#WHOWOULDJESUSSUE: A CALL TO ACTION” media blitz is a radical, unprecedented case of perverse cyberbullying. Check out Wikipedia’s legal definition of cyberbullying:
Pastor Tim Challies ran afoul of Julie Anne Smith and her destructive slander-blogging friends. Here is the article he wrote in response on 4/3/13, In the Crosshairs of the Discernment Bloggers.
Don Miller was fired from his position at BGBC after he repeatedly made ridiculous accusations that I "don't preach Christ, don't preach the Gospel, and don't preach the whole counsel of God" and then sought to draw two deacons and a layman to stand with him against the leadership of the church. Julie Anne and Steve Smith, and Meaghan and Tim Varela were very close friends with Don Miller. When their friend was fired they left the church and began a bitter assault on the Gospel ministry of BGBC, the families of BGBC, and my wife and children. After 5 years we are regaining strength and getting back in the fight for Christ, His Gospel, eternal souls, and the lives of the unborn in a significant way. Julie Anne Smith and her slandering friends are fighting with fresh slander the whole way. May God grant them repentance of the evil they have done, and are yet doing.
Per Wikipedia: “Cyberbullying may include public actions such as repeated threats, sexual remarks, pejorative labels, or defamatory false accusations, ganging up on a victim by making the person the subject of ridicule in online forums”. I’ve followed this woman’s public blogging and in my opinion she used sexual remarks against you and your church, pejorative labels, defamatory false accusations and then ganged up on you by making you the subject of ridicule in her online forum devoted to your churches destruction, ALL a textbook case of cyberbullying. This blog recording her church-hating antics will be invaluable to future victims. Although we Christians forgive, we must love others in action and truth as they face persecution. I’m sure Pastor Challies appreciates this blog as well as that poor man and his wife who are the focus of the “JESUSSUE” blog. Demanding people “get their rage up” on a couple and then to “act upon it” is brutal, unthinking cyberbullying. I’ll be praying for their safety.
