For the Local Area Basildon is the church on our prayer Diary for the coming week. The church correspondent writes: "As a fellowship we thank God for the rich outpouring upon us from His almighty hand. We give him all the glory for baptisms and those who have joined us in Christ. Pray that we may be an effective witness in our community."
For the Wider Area GBNews - Lebanon - Beruit - Michael & Maha Ghiz Moving to a New Druze Field This week some one mentioned to us ministry in the town of Hasbaya. We contacted fellow missionaries in south Lebanon who are planning on moving into Hasbaya this spring. They are excited to see us move there and have fellow workers join them in reaching the Druze for Christ. We are travelling there this Saturday to discuss moving there, praying with them and look into housing. Pray that we will have clear direction from the Lord concerning this move. Hasbaya is about 1 Β½ - 2 hours from Beirut which makes it harder to travel back and forth there.
Leadership Training I am meeting with a Baptist pastor this week who himself wants to be trained. Pray that the Lord will direct us. I am also working in partnership with other mission agencies working in Lebanon to mobilize and equip church planters in the Arab World. I am also meeting with Christian Lebanese businessman to encourage a partnership with Western Businessmen who are interested in created micro-businesses that would employ Lebanese Christians who can support themselves while church planting.
Kurdish People I met a Kurdish man named Azad from Iraq, who is church planting among his own people in Lebanon. I introduced him to a Kurd, named Brahim from Syria, who owns a shoe shop in our area of Beirut. We witnessed to Brahim in the past. Azad and I spend 3 hours talking with Brahim. He was so excited to get tracts and to hear scripture read to him from a NT translated into his Kurdish dialect. We used many arguments to convince him of his need for Christ and His salvation. He was very open and willing to study the Bible with other Kurdish people. Many of the Kurds don't know how to read their own language. I discussed with Azad the idea of opening a school for teaching them how to read Kurdish and to study the Bible at the same time. Please share this vision with people who would like to support a ministry among the Kurds. Pray that Brahim will come to faith. It would also be great to see a Carey School of Theology for the Kurds in the future!

Holiday Bible Club leaflets. Will those responsible for distribution to the local schools please take what they need today and ensure they are distributed this week. They are bundled in hundreds and some individual.
Gift box today for contributions for Roger Lindie who is being given a month sabatical for recuperation. We hope to make it possible for him and his family to be able to afford a short break away from their area.
