Pray for Debbie as she continues with her practical work experience.
Pray for Mark as he seeks new employment.
Pray for Pete as he begins his new job on Monday. Pray for a more permanent job and more settled situation.
Please pray in view of the final stage of Religious Hatred Bill in Lords on Tuesday.
Samantha - from latest letter from Isobel - "The surgeon says that they are expecting her to have another tumour and canβt give any more treatment until that is confirmed. When Jenny last wrote she said "Our trust is in the Lord. Samantha when she heard about a further tumour picked up her Bible up and just opened it and it fell open at Psalm 30. She told her parents God has it in control. .......the Lord is now speaking to her and her husband and we can praise Him."
For the local area St Johnβs Wood. Give thanks for the new pastor. Please pray for the Lordβs leading and blessing in 2006, especially for additional Bible teaching and evangelism.
For the wider area WIDER CHURCH NEWS: FRENCH SPEAKING WORLD - Europresse New opportunities have opened in a number of African countries including Congo, Chad, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic and Madagascar. In Madagascar the Europresse radio programme is now being broadcast. Katla Jean is working in Cameroon in Africa and has been doing so for about two years. His ministry includes distributing books and preaching in a number of locations. He gets around on a special motorbike which needs to be replaced. Please pray that a replacement can be found. A conference was held in Douala in Cameroon. On short notice some 14 men attended, including one from the Central African Republic and another from Chad. The conference involved three days of preaching and teaching, including opportunities for students to preach in order to see where they were at. Naka Julien distributes books in the African country of Benin. A small church in Agbedranfo has in recent times turned to the doctrines of grace. Another conference was held in Benin, with some 25 men attending. Men came from the African countries of Togo and Burkina Faso as well. There are Reformed churches in Banikoara (where the brethren hardly see any other Christians), Cotonou and Bohicon - all in Benin. An elderly Christian brother in the town of Glazoue has been paying to place the Christian radio programme of Europresse on the local radio station - which is very costly for a retired gent in Africa.
