Prayer for the church Please pray for the on going weekly activities that God may bless each.
Pray for Simon and Ali as they give their testimonies on Tuesday.
Pray that Mona will soon be able to arrive in the UK.
Continue to pray for Godβs blessing on the churches website and Pastorβs preaching through the internet.
For the local area Hemel Hempstead β Gadebridge is the church on our Prayer Diary for the coming week. The church praises the Lord that two young men were baptised just before Christmas. It asks prayer for the Lordβs wisdom in meetings with a few others who are enquiring about baptism and for his guidance in considering plans for major changes to the premises.
For the wider area Lebanon - Mike & Maha Ghiz - Arabic Baptist Church We have been attending Mouseitbi (Arabic) Church in Beirut on Sunday mornings. The pastor, Joseph Kazzi, is a strong believer is the Doctrines of Grace. I preached at the Wednesday Bible Study on Dec 21st and challenged them to breaking barriers in reaching the lost from John 4 about the Samaritan woman.
Community Baptist Church This month I met with the committee of CBC that I formed before I left for Canada. An average of 15 people comes out to the Sunday night meeting. We concluded that we really aren't a church and are not able to function as church, because many are involved in their churches on Sunday morning. Most of our attendees are also involved in other ministries as well. We are presently seeing this as a meeting where we encourage one another in an informal setting. We come to sing to the Lord, hear the Word, have fellowship and pray for one another. They desire to hear expository teaching so I have been teaching on Psalm 19 (General & Special Revelation) and have been preparing a series on the book of Romans. I see this meeting as a time to encourage, help and pray for those who are planting other churches and discipling believers. Pray for Zareh, an Armenian brother who is leading a Bible Study for 25 fellow Armenians. Arkan, the Iraqi whom I baptized in the Spring has a church plant of 7 people and a 2nd Bible Study with 4 students.
Druze Outreach Ministry We recommenced our Druze outreach ministry this Christmas. We organized a Christmas birthday party on Dec 27th for our girls in Ain Zhalta with our old Druze neighbours and visited a number of people there. Pray that we will have a fruitful ministry this year in Ain Zhalta and many opportunities to challenge them afresh about the need for Christ. We started still looking for an apartment in a Druze city in the mountains. Pray that we find the place where the Lord would have us live and serve.
