God is Pleased
Our Sov'reign God does what He will.
No one can stay His hand.
He does what, when, and where He wants
In heav'n or in this land. (Repeat)
It pleased the Lord to choose His own,
Ordained before all time.
He on them Sov'reign Grace bestowed
In His Son by design. (Repeat)
It pleased our God to bruise His Son,
His Substitute for me.
God's righteous indignation borne
By Him to set me free. (Repeat)
He brought me to His Son by grace
Through preaching of His Word.
He's pleased to sanctify His own,
Our everlasting Lord. (Repeat)
I
It pleased Him that all fullness dwell
In Christ His only Son.
He, our Savior, was crucified.
His blood has cleansed each one. (Repeat)
The only way our righteous God
Could sinners justify.
If they were righteous as He is,
His Son that need supplied. (Repeat)

Jehovah-Jireh
We know that this can be looked at in many ways, the Lord will provide or the Lord will see to it. But of late I am enjoying the latter of the two meanings. I suppose that I could not give you a better answer to any given situation or circumstance than to tell you that the ‘Lord will see to it’. Do you fear for your soul when the tempter comes? The Lord will see to it for your protection and ultimate salvation. Are you troubled about the trial ahead this week or the one yet to come upon you as the clouds are heavily approaching? I tell you again that the Lord will see to it that all your temptations are common to us all and with that trial he will provide a way of grace and glory to overcome it. Are you buffeted by the flesh and not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel; well He will see to it that He remains faithful and will protect His eternal investment that was purchased by the blood of His only dear Son. I tell you once more; it does not matter the what’s or when’s or the why’s of all or any issue: the Lord will see to it that you are kept by the power of God unto salvation. Leave it there, lay it there and realize the peace and comfort of the Lord Jesus Christ, you’ll sleep much better if you do.

It is not my remembering God, it is God's remembering me which is the ground of my safety; it is not my laying hold of His covenant, but His covenant's laying hold on me. My looking to Jesus brings me joy and peace, but it is God's looking to Jesus which secures my salvation and that of all His elect.
- C.H. Spurgeon
Faith brings God into the scene. Therefore, it knows absolutely nothing of difficulty; it laughs at impossibilities. In the judgment of faith, God is the answer to every question; He is the salvation to every difficulty…Unbelief says, how can such things be? Unbelief is full of flaws; but faith has one great answer to ten thousand how's, and that answer is God Almighty.

Is My God The God?
(Isa. 41:21-29)
An idol is an image made to represent God (Deuteronomy 4: 15-19). But idolatry is man worshipping himself (Romans 1: 22-25). Just as an image is the work of man’s hand, every man whose salvation is in some aspect dependent upon what he has done is worshipping himself regardless of if he worships an image or not. The god of man’s imagination truly has no hands but man’s hands and no feet but man’s feet because the god of man’s imagination is no greater than himself.
The God of heaven and earth saves whom he will apart from the sinner’s contribution (Romans 9: 16). No child born of Adam has power to save himself (Psalm 14: 2-3). The very term “salvation” declares that the one being saved has no power to save. If one has power to save himself then he does not need to be saved. But the one being saved is entirely dependent upon another to save him. “Salvation-is-of-the-Lord” (Jonah 2: 9; Acts 4: 12). The God of heaven and earth calls on every man to answer this question, “Is My God THE God?”
