Now maybe not every one rejoices in this most comforting of all truths because the objection is what about the lost? what about those God is not saving or won’t save. First of all we don’t know all the Elect only God does so we still call all men everywhere to repent and believe. Paul says in Rom 11 v33-35 who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who could instruct Him? about such things? We cannot, what did God say to Job when he questioned Gods purposes? And ways? where was you Job when I created the world, and the deep and the rain etc. Job was humbled in dust and repented, a Godly man yet did not understand what God was doing so he complained. If we don’t understand Gods plan for Salvation to whom and when and how, how dare we question God…do we really expect to understand it? The infinite, our mind finite? Did God not deal with you in a way you did not understand once? You could not see why yet in faith and knowing God is Love, His infinite in wisdom you trusted Him. In your trail in distress….because you knew not to expect what you thought would happen but left to the infinite God. How much more then in Salvation and Gods plan, His ways are not our ways or His thoughts ours. Don’t try to bring God down to mans level. Let God be God…and trust His Word and Him. Just except it as you would in a trial though you cant work it all out. Why does God save us yet not others? He saved us because were sinners objects of wrath in His Mercy and Grace to the praise of His Glory only, Ephesians Chapters 1-2.Ah but…..don’t answer God back says Paul Rom Chapters.9-11.Trust Him His plan ,though as you would expect ,you don’t understand it all. As you don’t understand a lot of things that happen in your life. That does not mean there not so. Just be so thankful. God loved you and saved you by His Loving ,Electing Grace. Because you were helpless and without hope. Don’t be proud and then try to be Godlike in thinking Gods plans through…we cant do it. We just know its of His mercy that we are not all consumed. We were all born in sin, of sin (Adam) all deserving Hell. That God spares any of us anytime to live on Earth is a mercy….we just don’t deserve it. Should we die now and go to Hell be we young or old we deserve it. That God in His great Love to us should reach down and save one is infinite mercy. As for all the other objections we just say with the psalmist let God be true yet every man a liar. His word is Truth lets bend to what it teaches and not what we think. Ah says one it says all ,or the world in some verses about salvation, in Acts we read the whole world was turned upside down by the Gospel! did they really mean every part of the Earth? No. Another place we read the Gospel went out into all the world, did they mean really all the Earth every single part ? No.
God was not willing that any should perish but that all ( ! )should come to repentance. God willing! so it must be ? but not everyone is saved so it must mean the Elect not one shall perish but all come to repentance and faith as God had purposed. Otherwise we say mans will is stronger than Gods ,if we pull and God pulls something who is stronger ? Who wins? God, let God be God. His purposes and will must prevail or else there would be no rule and law to His reign no God reigning but man. Let us repent and believe and be saved by Gods infinite Grace through the Gospel and tell others to do the same and as for all the questions we have, the whys and wheres, just submit them to Gods Love ,Truth and Sovereign Grace .Not to worry God can handle such things they would way us down we not meant to have all the answers but say Lord you are God I will now let you truly be the God of my Salvation a Salvation I played no part in ,to earn your Grace ,but was chosen simply because I am a sinner and Christ came to save such, not the righteous ( do we think something righteous in us can co-operate with God and with Gods help we will be saved) but sinners full blown and hope less. Of such he said I Will ! in no wise cast out such as are drawn by the Father and come to me.
