Greetings in Jesus' Name from Naples, Italy, He came to church with a "T" shirt that said, "You Don't Know Jack, If You Don't Know Me." Well, I don't have any trouble remembering his name now, that's for sure. When he introduced himself as a deacon in another church, I had thought in my mind that he might have been sent over to spy on us -the new church in town- but I certainly have a different opinion now.
Jack Nickson has been coming to our services pretty regularly, as his job allows, for about a month now, and I believe its because of the good solid Bible teaching, rather than the touchy-feely type worship service that he's been used to. I've talked with Jack and he is a very well spoken and educated refugee from Ghana, Africa who works as a waiter in a local restaurant. When I asked him if he would go to Heaven when he dies, he sputtered, and stammered, but there was absolutely no definite answer. I'm sure that he is being dealt with by the Holy Spirit for some thing, and truly hope to see him surrender to Christ for whatever it is soon. Jack has brought two other visitors recently. (1) Please Pray for Jack, and for my wisdom in dealing with him.
Peter, another African refugee, who came to church yesterday with Jack, returned for the 1400 service that is aimed at ministering specifically to the African Refugees. Bonsue, our Ghanian lay preacher, changed his sermon topic and went right into an evangelistic message for Peter's sake who hasn't yet trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation. At 1600 Peter had to go to work, (2) so please pray for Peter's salvation too.

Okay, its been two days since I started this update on Monday the 13th. Now it's Wednesday evening the 15th, and Jack came to our Wednesday evening service, and I had a good talk with Jack after the service. He has previously, as a young man in Ghana, trusted in Jesus Christ, and I will baptize him shortly, as he really wants to be a part of this church. Saturday he is planning on taking part with our work force to pick up a kitchen that we have acquired for the church. I'll go to a nearby city, and rent a large vehicle, then go to a private home and take down the kitchen, and reassemble it in our new church facility. Kitchens are very expensive here. Praise the Lord for Visa, and ATMs. Oh, I told Jack that I didn't want him jumping churches, but he said the church where he was a deacon doesn't teach what's said in the Bible; he told me that he hasn't attended there for five months. It seems that The Lord is pushing him in our direction. (3) please pray for the additional finances to get this ministry running in decent order.
Thank you all for the prayers and support that you have provided for this ministry! There have been several churches, and individuals that have given extra recently for this move, in addition to the faithful regular support that we have received. Thank you so much, you have a great part in this work for our Saviour here in the Naples area.
In Christ's Service,
