SLEEPY JOEWAKES UP!

Oh ( a load noise), “who’s that?, its sleepy Joe” says Mr Devotion “he’s not even got up today yet.” Sleepy Joe lay on the couch. “Get up” said Mrs Lawgiver I need to hoover this coach.” Sleepy Joe says he’s a Christian but never seems to be alive unto righteousness or dead to sin. He sleeps the sleep, is it of death? Mrs Lawgiver wakes him up, his conscience is guilty he awakes and moves.

“Why do you sleep so much?” says Mr Slack “it keeps my conscience asleep and I am lazy. To lazy to fight sin or see sin as I should.” replies Sleepy Joe.

Just then Pastor Preacher knocks loudly at the door and comes in saying “arise thou who sleepest, wake up you sleepy Christian, arise and He shall give you power (Isaiah) and strength.…” Joe felt Gods word deeply, it moved him to move and start to walk the Christian life as it should be lived, and as he walked down the street many neighbours looking out of there windows were amazed sleepy Joe seemed to have come to life, he was walking with God (in obedience to His word) and all most leaping and praising God. As he looked Heaven above was softer blue, trees around were sweeter green. He met Mr Job who worked at the employment centre and asked “any work?” Job was in shock and wondered should Joe be given long term sick! “No I not gone mad Mr Job,” “drunk” says Mr Job “no! I know I was lazy and had excuses but now I am awake-the light it has shone,” “how many days do you wish to work?” asked Mr Job “6, Mon -Sat please.” replied sleepy Joe “Come in the morning to the office and I will help you(seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added), “what time?” “early as possible” says Joe
