Our annual Bible Conference is in two weeks. We will have a workday next Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Jesus Christ is a monopolizer of human hearts, and He will never accept a portion of our manhood. He bought us altogether, and He will have the whole of our personality. Christ must be everything or He will be nothing. He does not love Christ who loves anything as well as Christ, neither does He trust Him who trusts anything besides.

Here is one of the most astounding truths in this world "God made Him sin"! It doesn't say it was something that looked like sin. It simply says God made Him to be sin. When we can find the answer to what sin is, how God views sin, then maybe we will have an inkling of what Christ was made by His own Father. It also says "he knew no sin", that makes it even more overwhelming...who was He made sin for... US. Bless His holy name that he would willingly become what we are...sin. Here is the kicker though he was made sin we are made the righteousness of God ...where ...how...IN HIM! O the wisdom and power of God he reveals in Christ our Lord by saving sinners completely, perfectly, and absolutely in a way that magnifies the righteousness of God.

Paul told the Corinthian Church" I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." Paul purposed that this should be the only point of knowledge in which he would claim to have any expertise. In Paul's apostolic mind it was in Christ crucified that the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of the eternal intentions of God were revealed. For Paul, the knowledge of Christ crucified was higher than heaven, deeper than hell, longer than eternity, and broader than the universe. In the light of this one great truth, Paul was able to say that he counted "all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord" (Phil 3:8). But, would Paul get a hearing in many of today's churches? I doubt it! This message of Christ crucified is not in style and "not in step with what the spirit is speaking" or so I'm told. The needs and concerns of the believer are now the focus of the Church! Our Church services are now believer-centered and not Christ centered.

The quickest way to slay error is to proclaim the truth. The surest mode of extinguishing falsehood is to boldly advocate Scripture principles. Scolding and protesting will not be so effectual in resisting the progress of error as the clear proclamation of the truth in Jesus.

"These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him" (John 17:1-2).

I looked the word, "should" up in the dictionary and this was one of the meanings: "Should has to do with an obligation such as fulfilling a contract that binds one to a course of action." Christ obligated himself by his covenant with the Father (covenant of grace) to a course of action; his incarnation, his obedience in his life and death to God's holy law so that he should give eternal life to as many as the Father gave him.

When our God sent the flood, the whole world perished except those happy ones who were found in the ark. Even so, there is only ONE WAY of salvation for all persons living under heaven. There is only one name whereby they can be saved. Would you be saved, rich man? There is no way except that way whereby the poorest pauper is also to be saved. Would you be delivered O man of intelligence? You must be saved in the same way as the most ignorant! There were not two arks, only one. So there are not two saviours, only one Saviour! There was no other means of salvation except the ark; so "there is none other name under heaven, "given among men, whereby we must be saved except Jesus Christ and Him crucified."
