Call To Worship
"Whom Have I In Heaven, But Thee?"
~by Don Fortner
1. Jesus, Savior, Lamb of God,
You have bought me with Your blood!
Take me (body, spirit, soul);
And possess, O Lord, the whole!
2. Christ, my one thing needful be,
Now and to eternity.
Let me choose the better part,
Come, possess, Savior, my heart!
3. Whom have I on earth, but You?
Let me never from You go!
"Whom have I in Heav'n, but Thee?
You are All in All to me.
4. Set my heart on things above,
On Your mercy, grace, and love:
Who the worth of these can tell?
Infinite! Unsearchable!

A helping hand is better than a helpless word.
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." (1John 3:18).
"O Ye Of Little Faith"
Pastor Paul Mahan
The Lord gently rebuked His disciples for having ‘little faith.' They needed the rebuke and so do we. After all they heard and saw from the Lord , and yet they still did not believe Him and trust Him as they should. How often did they hear His powerful voice, full of wisdom and wonder, and how often did they see everything He said come to pass? And what about all the miracles they saw? Every day they saw the Lord perform miracle after miracle, yet they still had many of the same fears and worries. And what about us? How many years has the Lord provided for us and protected us? How often have we heard His Word, seen His glory, experienced His grace, yet have so little faith? By little faith is meant, so many doubts, fears and worries. Since faith cometh by hearing the Word of God, then little faith means we are not hearing what He says.
Why are we so quick to believe what we hear from man and not to believe our God? Why are we so fretful over what we see going on around us when He said not to look at the things that are seen, but the unseen? Why do we call upon, look to, and lean upon other poor creatures like us, rather than the all-wise and powerful Heavenly Father? O' WE of little faith!!
Lord, we believe . . . please forgive and help us with our unbelief. Pastor Paul Mahan

A Needful Fall
John13: 37-38 "Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice."
Peter needed this fall. In order for him to be made into a preacher of grace, he needed to drink of this cup. Peter needed to taste his own weakness first so that he would be more able to have compassion on them that are weak. God gave Paul a thorn in the flesh to keep him humble. David was allowed to sin a great sin against God (Psalm 51:4). In order for God to make David the sweet Psalmist of Israel and a man after God's own heart, he needed this fall. All whom God saves have a needful fall. We need it to keep us from pride of place, race and grace. It is sad but so that there is so much sin still in us that we need to be reminded that we are nothing more than sinners saved by grace. Let us never forget that a sinner saved by grace is still a sinner all the way home.
