MERRY CHRISTMAS
Brethren, as you open up those gifts that your loved ones will freely give to you try to remember how freely God has given to you. God chooses to whom he will give his gift. He chooses when they will receive his gift. His wisdom in purchasing and wrapping everything up makes those to whom he gives his gift receive his gift with nothing to do but enjoy. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (I John 5: 11.) May the Lord bless your time together.

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS IN SHEEPS CLOTHING
Matthew 7: 15
The Lord taught us that few go in by Christ the Straight Gate, and continue in Christ the Narrow Way. He said that many go in the wide gate and broad way. So then the majority of prophets are false (Matthew 24:11.) We are talking about men who wear the outward dress of Christ's sheep. They will do many wonderful works, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

YE SHALL KNOW THEM
Matthew 7: 16-18
The Lord's sheep have spiritual discernment. They hear his voice. He knows them. They follow him. A stranger they will not follow but will flee from him because they know that the stranger's voice is not the voice of their Lord (John 10: 27; 5; I Corinthians 2: 9, 10; 12-16.) It is impossible for a good tree to bring forth evil fruit and a corrupt tree to bring forth good fruit. The new man of the heart which God has created after his image within his redeemed can not call Jesus accursed by watering down the truth. They must set forth that in Christ is electing grace, predestinating grace, redeeming grace, regenerating grace, preserving grace, resurrecting grace and glorifying grace. Before Christ enters in the corrupt heart can only produce corrupt fruit. (Matthew 12: 33-35; I Corinthians 12: 3.)

GOOD FRUITS
Matthew 7: 16-18
The fruits of the true preacher are a clear, simple declaration of Christ and him crucified coupled with a patient endurance to wait on the power of God to make the word effectual. This good fruit begins and continues the same way, with the Word of Truth (James 1: 17, 18.) There is no variableness, neither shadow of turning with God. The Word created his children in eternity in Christ the Covenant Word, the Word created the heavens and the earth, the Word said let there be light and there was light, the Word gave the law, the prophets and the psalms, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, the Word preached the Word of Truth, the Word by himself purged our sins and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, the Word speaks a new creation of life and light in dead sinners, the Word builds them up into Christ the Word, and the Word, at last will give them the inheritance among all his saved children. ( Ephesians 1; Genesis 1: 3; 2 Corinthians 4: 6.) Those begotten of the Word of Truth know that Christ Jesus is the Power and Wisdom of God unto salvation. Through this unmistakable Power of God, God's true prophets are persuaded that this same Word of Truth which quickened them, rebuked them, turned them, and set them believing on Christ is the Way God continues to call out every wretch he saves. There is no variableness or turning with God. It is by this same Word that he continues to preserve us unto the day of glory throughout this life of faith. Seeing that they have this hope, Christ's Ambassador declare the Word in plainness of speech, without leaving man room to glory. The whole Word of scripture is the single message of Christ and him crucified. Whether it is a sinner unconverted or a brother who is in error, God's messenger brings glad tidings, of good things, publishing salvation, saying to all, "Thy God reigneth!" (James 1: 21.) And because he knows the engrafted word is able to save the soul, Christ's ambassador patiently endures all things as he waits on the Word to raise up, even from the dead.

CORRUPT FRUITS
The fruits of false prophets are a strong hand and a weak gospel. He does not know the Word or believe the Word is able to save. Therefore, with himself and others, he is covetousness for the glory that belongs to the triune God alone. He professes to know God but in all his works--in his weak gospel and strong methods--he is highly esteemed among men, but an abomination to God; forcing obedience in men, but disobedient to God; in every work which is good fruit in the true prophet, the false prophet is reprobate. (Titus 1: 16; 2 Timothy 3: 5.)

DULL OR SHARP
The duller the ax the more a man must use his own strength. The weaker the gospel the more extras have to be used. Men highly esteem it, many go in thereat, but the end is death (Ecclesiastes 10: 10.)

God said salvation is not by might or by power but by the Spirit of the Lord. The pure word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. Therefore, the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace (Ecclesiastes 10: 10; Hebrews 4: 12; James 3: 17, 18.)

Those who have the Word of truth have all things and they must follow him. Therefore they do not need man's inventions. They have God's Way of salvation. Few go in this Way, but he is the Way of life.
