THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW
Matthew 7: 13, 14
Pause and really consider what the Lord says here. There is a wide gate and there is a strait gate. The broad way leads to destruction, the narrow way leads to life. The majority goes in the wide gate, few go in the straight gate. CHRIST JESUS IS THE STRAIGHT GATE AND THE NARROW WAY. (Jn 14:6; 10: 7-9.)

The Way Unto the Father
Ephesians 2:18
First, through Christ the Gate, believers have access by the Spirit unto God the Father. Any time you enter in, it means you are passing from without to within. The fall placed all mankind without. Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden. In our personal experience, every elect child of God is born into this world outside of God, outside of Christ, outside of communion with God. No man comes to the Father but by Christ the Way. (Jn 10: 9; 14: 6; Heb 10: 19-22.)

The Way Into The Grace Wherein We Stand
Romans 5: 2
Through Christ the Way believers have access into this grace wherein we stand. Romans 5: 1 says that the free blessing of "justification" is ours by Christ Jesus who justified those given him when he died and rose again. But it is by Christ, that we have access into this grace wherein we stand. No doubt about it, all spiritual blessings given by God to his elect are in Christ, according as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world. Christ Jesus is the one by whom satisfaction was made at Calvary for his people. But it is Christ himself-by whom also--we have access into this grace, into these blessings, that we have the gift of life and faith to believe him. Why is that?

It is because according to God's good pleasure, the government is on the shoulder of his Son. It is by Christ Jesus, from his Kingly throne, that he sends the Holy Spirit, he sends his preachers, he makes his gospel effectual in the hearts of his people. It is Christ who places each redeemed sinner in the body and edifies each member so that Christ alone receives the glory for providing for the edification of the whole body. When Christ effectually says "Enter ye in!" all those given to him shall, and not a moment before he commands you to enter. But once he has caused you to enter you shall enter into this grace and trust God to save freely (Jn 17: 1-3; 5: 25, 26.)

The Way That Keeps Us In The Way
It is only by the Power and Wisdom of Christ through the gospel that believers continue to travel in Christ the Way. Romans 14: 4: Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

God the Savior persuaded Paul. Therefore Paul was able to preach Christ and wait on the Lord to persuade others. Romans 14: 14: I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus,...Romans 15: 18: For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, 19: Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; [that is why] from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

I can repeat the Lord's word, "Enter ye in at the straight gate." But if you enter, if you enter into rejoicing in all these rich blessings, and if you continue in this narrow way, it will be by the Lord Jesus Christ.
