We would like to welcome everyone to our Fall Meeting. I pray that our time together will be one of rich fellowship around the Gospel of Christ.
________________________________________1Chronicles 16:29 "Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness."
Our main purpose for gathering these next three days is to give unto the Lord Jesus Christ the glory that is due His name. I am confident that the men who will be preaching will do just that.

The church of God has many critics, but no rivals. This is the Family of God, the Kingdom of Heaven, the Temple of the Holy One, the place where Christ manifests forth His glory, spreads His table, and meets with His people. Blessed beyond description are those people who are privileged to be a part of this family! Truly, as Paul puts it, this is "a habitation of God through the Spirit!"
~Pastor Don Fortner
When Satan tempted Eve, he did not begin with open error. He did not begin with an open rejection or denial of what God said. Eve would have never swallowed that. He began with a slight modification of what God said. "Hath God said you shall not eat of every tree" (Genesis 3:1). No, God said there was only one tree from which they were forbidden to eat. But through that slight modification the door was opened for a complete denial of what God said, "Ye shall not surely die" (Genesis 3:4). Big errors always begin small. And small errors always turn into big ones! The only way to prevent this is to believe exactly what God says and reject even the slightest deviation from it! In reality, little errors are like little sins. There is no such thing!

IN CHRIST
Often someone asks what "position" do you hold on a particular doctrine, such as particular redemption, or the depravity of man. But the word of God never tells us to come to a position, but to a person to Christ Jesus the Lord. He himself said; "Come unto me" again; "all that the Father gives me shall come unto me, no man cometh unto the Father but by me".The scriptures speak of believers being "In Christ" in several places. This is the place I want to be found - In Christ. This is the only place where a sinner can have a secure position from sin, death, hell, and the judgment and wrath of God. When a sinner comes to Christ, trusts Christ and learns that he was chosen In Christ before the foundation of the world, then he has the most blessed position a poor sinner can have. Justified! Accepted! Righteous! Where? Before God, who is holy and inhabits eternity. Before Him who knows our thoughts afar off. Before Him who knows the heart. "Who shall lay anything to the charge of god's elect? It is God that justifieth." How? "It is Christ that died, yea rather is risen again, who sitteth at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us". Rom 8:33-34.

DYING TO SELF
"If Any Man Will Deny Himself"
(Matthew 16:24)
Pastor Bruce Crabtree
When you are forgotten, or neglected, or purposely set at naught, and you don't sting and hurt with the insult or the oversight, but your heart is happy, being counted worthy to suffer for Christ, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When your good is evil spoken of, when your wishes are crossed, your advice disregarded, your opinions ridiculed, and you refuse to let anger rise in your heart, or even defend yourself, but take it all in patient, loving silence, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you lovingly and patiently bear any disorder, any irregularity, and unpunctuality, or any annoyance; when you can stand face to face with waste, folly, extravagance, and spiritual insensibility, enduring it as Christ Jesus endured it, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you no longer care to hear yourself in conversation, or to record your own works, or itch after commendation, when you can truly love to be unknown, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you see your brother prosper and have his needs met, and can honestly rejoice with him in spirit and feel no envy nor question God, while your own needs are far greater and you are in far more desperate circumstance, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
When you can receive correction and reproof from one of less stature than yourself, and can humbly submit inwardly as well as outwardly, finding no rebellion or resentment rising up within your heart, THAT IS DYING TO SELF.
