The church correspondent writes: ‘Praise: Youth meeting is taking good shape and many young people are attending; improved church attendance and membership. Prayer: The architect has got a potential developer interested in proposals for the church site - please pray that the developer's interest will continue as this will help with the planning application.'
Prayer For The Wider Area:
News from Bill Hale - The Church of Mercy in Cambodia (http://www.thechurchofmercy.org/)
We continue to sense God's leadership in our being part of this work. We're enjoying teaching and watching our students grow.
In Systematic Theology we've tackled some tough issues, having just completed a chapter on Divine Providence. We've also made some significant progress in the Khmer language, though much work whom I believe have a sincere and lively faith. They are growing in grace in many aspects.
Additionally, three of our students have a strong desire to serve God in Bible teaching: Daniel, Vanak and Sokea. They've been going out on Saturday mornings to share the Gospel and look for open doors. We hope to start weekly Bible studies and, as the Lord wills, to eventually start new churches. Please continue to pray for our efforts, that God would lead us to His harvest fields.
Sre Trang's new sanctuary remains. Please continue to pray for our language acquisition. Pastor Chheng has been faithfully preaching and teaching God's word, and there have been a number of visitors and new members in the last six months.
The Prek Ambel church body is enjoying a season of steady growth and peace, for which we are thankful. The Sre Trang congregation is enjoying the new sanctuary which was completed in early December.
After a few months of trials and declining membership, the church has recently seen increased attendance including upwards of 125 children. Pray God would continue to encourage Pastor Ngan and help him to disciple and care for his flock.

We request for prayers so that the violent persecution that begun on December 24, 2007 brings its impact in saving more lives for the Lord. Kindly pray for those that have lost homes and are displaced. Pray that they could be restored and rehabilitated. And for the Lord's healing upon the families that have lost their loved once.
Pray as some are beginning to return to their places to make their houses, churches and lives from the ruins. And that we would be able to withstand the onslaught of persecution in winning the enemies of the Gospel for His beloved Kingdom.
