Gabriel Mendoza is the son a Mexican Baptist preacher that got away from the Lord after the death of his father and joined the Army. This past May he was reached through our tract distribution to the military. God has blessed Gabriel since he has come back to the Lord and as he has taken steps of faith in his Christian growth. Since he started tithing, God has blessed him with on base housing and advancement in the army as he serves as an escort to Mexico's Secretary of Defense. His wife was saved on our Anniversary Sunday and living a new life in Christ. Gabriel comes now comes to the men's Saturday evening prayer meetings and this last Tuesday came out to the our Soulwinning Night. Please pray for his mother-in-law's salvation as he is beginning to bring her to church. This Sunday his cousin, David, also in the Army, came out with his girlfriend, Miriam.
The last six Sundays have been great with visitors every Sunday in both the morning and evening services. Many of the family member's are unsaved relatives of our people. Edna's husband, Rene, came one Sunday, Eunice's grown daughter has come three times; Ana Maria brought her teenage granddaughter, Jimena, on the 14th of December where she was saved in our services when she went to visit her, Ana Maria said she was now a totally changed teenager. Ana Maria brought her Jimena's older sister, Pilar, one Sunday this January and she trusted Christ in Ana's home this last week.
Carlos is a neighbor of Sam Eastep who he led to the Lord this December. Years ago Carlos crossed the border to the States running from the law after several shoot outs with the police and the Mexican Army, and after years of working in construction was deported to Mexico. He now has been attending more than a month and is doing our drywall. Sam found him witnessing to his grown nephew and sam got to lead him to the Lord. Carlos brought his girlfriend out to church this Sunday Please pray for Nancy's salvation.
We began this year with a great Sunday in attendance. Only two Sundays' attendances last year were better than this one - and they were big days in our Spring campaign. That Sunday we had 30 visitors; and of the 17 adult visitors, five stood up for Christ in the invitation and accepted Him as their Savior. Please pray for these new Christians: Hortencia Alonso, Maria Felix Moreno, Maria Vargas, Magali Lopez, and Noemi Reyes, that we may see them baptized, confirm ed in the faith, and added to the church. Noemi has already returned last evening service with her son and Maria Felix with her grown daughter, Magali plan to return this Sunday.
