News from Dennis Ashley - USA - Going to Spain
I've completed over half of my coursework towards my doctoral studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. I expect to complete the class work next summer and the dissertation in Spain. In May, Daniel Webber, director of European Missionary Fellowship (EMF) came from Welwyn, England to visit with me and our church leadership. After extensive interviews, he determined that I was a good match for their agency.
EMF currently has seven missionaries working in Spain. One of those missionaries is Jose "Pepe" Moreno, pastor at Iglesia Evangelica de Alcazar de San Juan. We had the opportunity to visit Pepe and his church this summer. In October, they voted unanimously to invite me to assist them in gospel ministry as soon as possible.
During our trip to Spain I was able to preach in several Spanish churches and attend a conference for Spanish pastors at a mountain retreat. We drove through much of the Spanish countryside stoking the embers of our desire to return with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
