Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for praying with us for the finances of the church. In spite of a giving family leaving the church over the issue of dress; we had great offerings this last month, well over what we need for the new building we are going to rent. We just won't have any surpluses for awhile and will have to keep a tight budget.

The owner of the building agreed to lower the rent by a hundred dollars. Tomorrow, I go to the real estate agency with the paperwork. Please pray that they will accept it all and that there won't be any problems. By the weekend, I want to be able to confirm to our people that we are changing buildings. They all know the new address already. We should have our first Sunday there on October 2nd.

A man I have been praying for for some time was saved Sunday night. Victor, a lieutenant in the presidential guard that protects ex-president Luis Echevarria, is the husband of one of the women that attend. He is barely home, but this week she expected him to be there and said she would call when he was home, so we especially prayed this week; but he was hardly home much because of the big Independence Day parade. She told me on Saturday that he would come with her on Sunday. Sunday night he attended with her and, after church, I was able to lead him to the Lord and could tell God had prepared his heart. It was a great victory!
