Dear Praying friends,They say its very rare when you get the Philippian jailer experience, but last night passing out the Jewish tracts, we were walking along the sidewalks and a traffic cop watching us passing out tracts asked for one and asked who we were. After a short conversation with Gaspar, he went back to his work changing the stop light.
On our way back from passing out tracts in several buildings, our group was walking and we noticed Gaspar had disappeared. He had been stopped by the same cop on the way back and when I got close enough to hear the conversation, the man was asking Gaspar, "What do I need to get saved?" We talked a little, and he said he wanted to attend our church. The traffic started getting thick again, one of his police buddies came up, and he had to get back to work. Please pray for Jesús Leal Alonzo that he comes to our church.
We had another great Sunday with the best attendance this year, even though we had several missing. We had eight visitors. Karla, the women who was saved last fall came back again, this time with her brother and his family of four.
In the street in the back of our house, the daughter of a brigadier general lives there in the family home as her father, sister, and mother have lived in Guadalajara while he has been stationed there. The daughter has come to a couple banquets, but goes to Capitol City Baptist Church, an English-speaking Southern Baptist church that reaches the American community in Mexico City. Speaking perfect English, she teaches Sunday school there. At any rate, her mother, Lourdes, came this Sunday with the other daughter.
Adriana, the adopted sister of the Sikh Indian, brought two little girls from another Indian family to church. I went to see the mother that afternoon to see if they would continue to let them come. Although she is Hindu, she said, "Yes." She is very friendly and speaks English. Her husband works for a company that deals with oil out of Houston, although they are from India. The Sikh Indian, Hari, is interested in our school. We are having them over for dinner soon with his Hindu brother. We hope to witness to them more and talk about the school.
Flor came to church on Sunday night with her German husband, Toby. Please continue to pray for her salvation.
Thank you for your prayers,
