God has been blessing with very good attendances in Sunday School and the evening services. Attendances to these services have always been a problem in our church. I believe this could be signs of real Christian growth in our members. Also, our offerings have been consistently very good for over a month -- another sign of Christian growth.

We had our firstfruits from our soulwinning efforts in the Jewish area. Helen called us on Saturday and came on Sunday. She is not a Jew, but a Christian who has been saved for 20 years. Her single son who lives with her is a airline pilot between jobs, and when I first met him I didn't think he was saved. She later told me that he is a Christian and was saved at 12 year old; I had my doubts as he seemed wary of us when we were in his home.

Yesterday Helen called me and said that her son, Angel, wanted to talk to me. He is out of work and had just failed a flight simulation test that would have given a job with an airline. As I talked to him, I found out that he really was a Christian, but was just wary of us because of bad experiences he had in the church they attended before. After talking to him, he realized he needed to get back to God for help and that his failure to pass the test woke him up to his need for God. He and Helen will be coming to church on Thursday night. He was promised to be allowed to take another test in a couple of weeks.
