For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Psalm 50:10-12
"THE RIGHTEOUS ALSO SHALL HOLD ON HIS WAY"
Job 17:9
What this scripture is saying is that the believer shall continue to believe, rest in Christ, and die in faith. There are no exceptions. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give unto them eternal life; and THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH" (John 10:27-28). The righteous shall indeed hold his way; for THE WAY is HIS way (the Lord's way), and it is his way also (the believer's way). The believer loves and prefers the way of the Lord. He walks this way willingly.
1. He may not always travel with EQUAL SPEED, but he will continue therein. He may hold his pace, but he will hold his way.
2. He may not always travel with EQUAL ENTHUSIASM and zeal, but he will hold his way.
3. He may not always travel with EQUAL SUCCESS, but he will hold his way; for he knows even his weakness magnifies the Lord's strength. Pastor Henry T. Mahan (bulletin 1994)
Believing Instead of Achieving
The Jews were given the moral law and the ceremonial law, which pointed to Christ. However, (for most of them) instead of seeing Christ in the types and pictures, they went about to establish their own righteousness by their supposed obedience to the law. The Gospel comes along and proclaims the righteousness of God without our obedience to the law, for no one has ever kept the law except the Lord Jesus Christ. He brought forth everlasting righteousness (Daniel 9:24) by His obedience that magnified the law and made it honorable. Now, those who believe on Christ have the righteousness of Christ imputed to them without their obedience to the law. Therefore, we see how righteousness comes to us through faith not works. Righteousness is not ours by Achieving but by Believing.

"The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance" (Psalm 6:5)
Therefore, if I never have what this world considers to be desirable, if I never have this world's wealth or applause, that is all right. The Lord is my portion. If my life does not turn out as I thought it would and I never make an impact, the Lord is still my portion. If I am brought to see that I am nothing, that is not damaging knowledge to me. It makes me see more clearly that "Christ is ALL." He that has nothing but the Lord as his portion, in reality has everything! He who has everything but Christ, in reality has nothing. Blessed is the man who can see the vanity of this world and rejoice that "The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance."

WHAT PERSUASION ARE YOU?
Often people ask this question to find out about our religious background and heritage. As if to say that it doesn’t really matter what persuasion we are or what we believe, just as long as we are sincere and make some sort of confession. Those to whom the Lord has been pleased to reveal the gospel, are fully convinced and totally persuaded of what God in His grace has been pleased to teach them from the scripture. Believers are no longer tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, they are committed and addicted to the truth (Eph. 4:14). Have you been fully persuaded by God the Holy Spirit? It is not presumption to believe all the precious promises of God (2 Peter 1:3). It would be presumption to believe that God is going to save wretched sinners, if He did not tell us in His Word that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (Matt 9:13). Let me give two examples of believers who were fully persuaded.
Abraham did not presume to believe that God was going to give Him a son; no, he acted upon the promise of God that he would have a son. Read the record, "And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform" (Rom. 4:19-21).
The apostle Paul was another believer who was fully persuaded. Read the record, "Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day" (2 Tim 1:12).
The next time someone asks you, "What persuasion are you?" Answer them with the word of truth; “I am fully persuaded that God is able to perform all His pleasure” (Isa. 46:9-12). I am fully persuaded that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 8:35-39). I am fully persuaded that Christ Jesus came to save sinners and that He did not fail (Isa. 42:4; 1 Tim. 1:15). I am fully persuaded that God is able to keep His sheep forever (John 10:27-30; Jude 1:24-25).” The believer’s persuasion is not based upon the whims and wishes of men, but rather upon the everlasting Word of God and the revelation of that truth by the power of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8-15; 1 Thes. 1:4-5).
