CALL TO WORSHIP
The blood of Christ, Thy spotless Lamb,
O God, is all my plea;
I have not merit of my own
Which I can bring to thee.
No sacrifice save His who bore
My sins upon the tree;
No other plea which lips could speak
Could intercede for me.
O wondrous cross! O precious blood!
O death by which I live!
The sinless One, for me made sin,
Eternal life to give!
By that blest cross, that cleansing blood,
I know His pow’r to save;
I stand in Him completely blessed,
A conqueror o’er the grave.

I am thankful that our Lord gave us such a special time of worship in our conference last weekend. I would also like to thank you for all of the work that you put into preparing food and cleaning the building after each meal. All that you do throughout the year to help this ministry does not go unnoticed.
We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of brother Joe Terrell who our Lord called home last week. We pray that our Lord comfort Bonnie, the family, and the congregation in Rock Valley, Iowa during this difficult time of loss and grief.
WHO BROUGHT YOU OUT?
The exodus of the children of Israel was a huge event in the Church’s history. Our Lord refers to it often! Multiple times we read such things as, “I brought you out of Egypt”, “I carried you forth from the land of Egypt”, “I commanded your fathers out of Egypt”.
Consistently, this is the Lord’s doing – HE brought them, He carried them, and He commanded them out. What a wonderful picture our Lord gave us in this event; to show His command of salvation (2 Cor. 4:6), His carrying of us in His bosom (Isa. 40:11), and His drawing His people to Himself (John 6:44).
When a person says “they decided to come”, or “they chose the right church”, or “they learned the doctrine(s) of grace” – their experience is contrary to the word and work of the Lord of Glory.

THE SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST
The simplicity of the gospel of Christ is simply amazing. The gospel is so grand that no man can ever believe it unless God gives faith in Christ. The gospel is so simple that no man can ever believe it unless God gives faith in Christ. The gospel is so complex that no one can ever comprehend it in this life, yet the gospel is so simple a little child can understand it. The gospel is so simple that only God in His wisdom could purpose and plan it. How amazing!
The simplicity of the gospel of Christ also comforts me. I am thankful that I do not have to understand the deep mysteries of scripture in order to be saved. I must simply believe Christ. My salvation is simply Christ. My righteousness is simply Christ. My justification is simply Christ. My sanctification is simply Christ. My acceptance before the Father is simply Christ. What am I waiting for, looking for, and longing for? Simply Christ my Savior to return.
The gospel is preached to save and to comfort God’s elect in the simplicity of Christ. How amazing and comforting is the simplicity of Christ!

“Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.” Psalm 130:1
There is a difference between knowing that I need to cry out for mercy, and actually crying out for mercy. There is a difference between knowing that Christ came to save sinners, and actually being a sinner who desperately needs and desires to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. The difference is: the head and the heart! Knowing that I need to be saved is in the head, but the actual cry for mercy can only come from God giving a new heart that believes, loves, and sees its only hope to be in the Christ who purges sinners from all their sins!
Pastor Gabe Stalnaker
A wise old man once said, "Gospel duties are to be performed with a gospel attitude and temper." Therefore, I endeavor to PREACH with love, GIVE Willingly and cheerfully, WORSHIP with simplicity, PRAY with sincerity, SING with thanksgiving, and LIVE with integrity. The form without heart is shameful.
