Jer 1:16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
Jer 1:17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
Jer 1:18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
Jer 1:19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
I know I'm immovable in my opinions and stand fast on what I've learned over the years.
This is the essence of what God is telling Jeremiah here. Not to waver, or show fear to those who would dispute what he's preaching: for he is taught of the LORD Himself.
This is what the preacher of the Gospel must be like as well.
Be armed with the armaments which the Apostle Paul speaks to us about in Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV.
On a personal note,
I know I come across as a teacher in nearly everything thing I speak about and as such, I may be giving off the appearance as, "a know-it-all" who suffers from a "God Complex": that I'm not interested in what one thinks they know about God and His Word; that you're idiots, etc.
Believe me, this is not the case. It is not my intent AT ALL, to make someone feel like an idiot.
I've spent many years now, reading the books and sermons, recording nearly everything I've read for the instruction of others in matters of religion, and the faithful practice of it.
I have no other motive, but to love God, serve the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit, and in truth, and to love my neighbor as myself.
This is how the LORD has formed me post-regeneration. I couldn't change it, even if I wanted to.
With that said,
I hope your Sabbath rest goes well.
Love in Christ Jesus, Our Lord,
Brother Duane
