Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136:23-26
The Last Word
One night at sea a ship’s Captain saw what appeared to be the lights of another ship out in front of him. So he had his signalman blink to the other ship, “Change your course.” The reply came back, “Change YOUR course.” The ship’s Captain signaled back, “I am a CAPTAIN; change your course.” To which the reply was, “I am a Seaman First Class; change your course.” This infuriated the ship’s Captain, so he signaled, “You fool, change your course; this is a BATTLESHIP!” The seaman replied, “And I said change your course; THIS IS A LIGHTHOUSE!”
Human will, rank, and pride have no alternative except to “change your course” when confronted with the unyielding, unchanging Word of God, even if that message comes through a lowly servant!

A Half-Truth Is A Complete Lie
Preachers in this generation are running all around the country telling sinners that “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” (Rom. 10:13), which is very true; but they are not preaching Christ, telling sinners who He is and what He accomplished for His people. Then HOW can anyone call upon Him? (Rom. 10:14). Sinners MUST call upon the Lord “in truth” (Psalm 145:18) – who He is, as He is, and where He is. These preachers, at best, are only telling half-truths about the Lord Jesus Christ, and a half-truth presented as the whole truth, is a complete lie! Those who do not preach the glory, majesty and holiness of God (Is. 6:1-5; John 12:36-41), who do not preach His unconditional election of grace (Eph. 1:2,3; II Thess. 2:13,14; I Pet. 1:2), who do not preach His full and effectual atonement and redemption of His people (Heb. 9:11,12; 10:11-18; II Cor. 5:18,19), who do not preach His almighty, invincible grace in calling His people out of darkness into His marvelous light (Matt. 1:21; 5:21,25; 11:27), and His purpose and power in the keeping of His people unto eternal glory (Rom. 8:28-39; I Pet. 1:5; Jude 24), are preaching “another Jesus,” “another spirit,” and “another gospel” (II Cor. 11:4), which is not another gospel but a perversion of the only true gospel of salvation (Gal. 1:6-9). These preachers are the cause of there being so “many” who will one day stand before the Lord with a false faith and hope (Matt. 7:13-23). These preachers are the murderers of the souls of men and women and boys and girls.

Christ Has All Power To Save
I personally heard a local radio preacher make this statement that is totally false and anti-gospel and is nowhere found in the word of God. He said, “The power of your destiny is totally in your hands, you have a free will to make that decision, it is all up to you.” This man is a false preacher who is spreading the lie of Satan who parades as angel of light (2 Cor. 11:13-15). Salvation, that is taught in the word of God says, Christ has all power to save His people from their sins (John 17:2-4) and make them new creatures in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17-21). We are indeed living in perilous times (2 Tim. 3:1-4).
WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?
“Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen”(Rom. 9:5).
God sovereignly separated this Jewish nation from all others (Deut. 7:6-8). From this nation God called out sinners like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David and gave them faith in Christ. But still a much greater honor and exalted privilege was given to this nation, “Of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came.” The holy humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ came through these people (Psa. 132:11; Rom. 1:3; Heb. 2:14-17). This declares unto us that He really was a true man, born of a woman, made under the law (Gal. 4:4). He was a real man born in time, apart from sin (Rom. 8:3). Not only is the sinless humanity declared in this scripture, but also His real deity, “Who is over all, God blessed for ever.” We must have a Saviour as this (Acts 20:28). One Who is God over all and at the same time, the sinless man in one blessed person, the old writers referred to Christ Jesus as the God-man. Paul, the apostle called Him, God our Saviour (Titus 1:3; 2:10; 3:4). Our blessed Lord in His incarnation remained what He was, “God over all blessed for ever” and became what He was never before, “flesh” (John 1:1, 14; 1Tim. 3:16).
There are numerous passages of scripture of which His two natures are declared, both His divinity and His humanity; Gen. 3:15, “Seed of Woman” His humanity, “He shall bruise the serpents head,” His divinity. Isaiah 7:14, “A virgin shall conceive and bare a son,” His humanity, “Call His name Immanuel” (God with) His divinity. Isaiah 9:6, “A child is born and a son is given” His humanity, “the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” His divinity. Luke 2:11, “Unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour” His humanity, “Which is Christ the Lord,” His divinity. John 1:14, “The Word was made flesh,” His humanity, “We beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth,” His divinity. 1 Tim. 3:16, “God was manifested in the flesh,” His humanity, “justified by the Spirit,” His divinity.
Upon this great truth rests the foundation of His whole redemptive work, it is who He is that gives power, infinite value and life to what He accomplished (Heb. 9:11-14; 1Peter 1:18-20). “Amen” Amen signifies truth (Rom. 1:25) consent and affirmation of what God has just said. Every believer can heartily say, AMEN (Rev.1:5-6; 5:13-14; 7:9-12).
