Reformed Baptist Institute of Pastoral Training
After 3 students graduated last year, we have added 5 new students. Three come from southern islands for whom both English and Tagalog are second languages, while the fourth is from a nearby sister church. We pray that God will prepare these and raise up more to labour in his churches here for his own glory. The difference in languages makes teaching even more of a challenge. I have been taking more of the courses this past year, which has required more and more of my time. Just last month I taught the module on the second part of Old Testament Biblical Theology for the first time. I am also teaching Pastoral Theology, most of the Systematic Theology, and recently monitored the video course of Historical Theology. We have one more semester of Biblical Hebrew which I am also teaching. We desperately need more labourers, and this work of training men is well worth the time and effort spent.
Moonwalk Community Bible Church Ministries
This past year we have been considering Precious Remedies against Satan's Devices in Sunday School, which has been a practical help to the sanctification of God's flock here. In the morning service, we continued our series in 2 Corinthians through Chapter 9, after which we have taken a break from that exposition to consider the richly practical content of the Beatitudes. Meanwhile, Pastor Rolly has been preaching on 1 John in the afternoon service.
Our evangelistic efforts have been continuing with an increased pace over the last year. We have had up to 10 Bible Studies going on at the same time in the past year. One of these at present is with a group of college students, an open door which we have sought for some time. This year our studies have resulted in several of the attenders coming to our church services regularly, and for some we entertain hopes of conversion. We pray that they may be added to the church.
We are thankful to God for being enabled to purchase the property next to our church building. We made some alterations to the house so as to be able to transfer there our church library, one Sunday School classroom, the church kitchen, and other facilities.
