HYMN OF THE DAY
Whosoever
"All flesh is grass", the Gospel says.
There are none that doeth good!
Yet, many lie to them these days,
"You could change this if you would."
All men are dead because of sin.
Just what could a dead man do?
There is no hope of man within.
I need Someone who is True.
The Gospel says, "Whosoever".
The elect shall hear that call.
They shall come to their Redeemer,
Jesus Christ, their All in All.
The Father gave them to His Son.
Christ is all their salvation.
God gave them faith to trust this One.
Outside themselves it's been done.
Jesus gave Himself for these men.
God's dear Son died in their place.
God's righteousness He gave to them.
Now, they are saved by His grace.
Sov'reign God does all His pleasure.
All He does is on purpose.
When you hear that, "Whosoever,"
He's speaking to your person.

BLESSED APPOINTMENTS
When the Lord intercepted Paul on the road to Damascus, knocked him from his high horse to the ground, and spoke in saving power to him, He said, “Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointedfor thee to do” (Acts 22:11). What a blessing to know that everything that comes our way was already appointed by God. This same word is also translated, “Determined, ordained, and set.” What joy to know that nothing happens but that which our Heavenly Father has appointed. We will face difficult and heavy trials but knowing they were appointed by our Lord takes the sting out of them. He is too wise to err, too kind to be cruel, and “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to purpose.” - Todd Nibert
When I look at myself, I don't see how I can be saved. But when I look at Christ, I don't see how I can be lost. - Martin Luther
HE IS FAITHFUL THAT PROMISED – Hebrews 10:23
I love that God is faithful to His covenant and to His grace. Despite all of my sin and failure, God is faithful. That is my only hope of salvation. I also love how God makes His people faithful people who can be counted on to be faithful to God, His gospel, and His people. – Frank Tate
Every departure from the doctrine of election in any degree has been a departure from THE GOSPEL; for such departure always involves the introduction of some obligation on man’s part to make a contribution to his own salvation – a contribution he simply cannot make. - Copied
OPPONENTS TO GOD’S SAVING GRACE CATEGORIZED
The Holy Scriptures teach that sinners are saved through God’s grace alone, and that His saving grace is received through God-given faith alone, and that this faith is a whole-hearted trust in Jesus Christ alone, and that salvation is totally devoid of any work performed by the saved (Ephesians 2:8f; et.al.).
Opponents to God’s saving grace may be categorized as follows:
Freewillers believe man by nature has a “free will” and that God’s will is for everyone to be saved, and that God’s will is subject to man’s will, and that salvation is obtained when man’s will permits God’s will to be done.
Synergists believe salvation is obtained through a joint cooperative effort between God and man, with each doing his part. (Synergism is from Greek sunergos = “working together”.)
Worksmongers believe salvation is obtained through some work performed by the sinner, which work differs from monger to monger, and includes those cited below.
Sacramentalists believe salvation is obtained through a sacrament, which is a ritual through which saving grace is conferred (according to them), which they generally identify as baptism.
Sacerdotalists believe salvation is obtained through the ministry of a priest for them. (Sacerdotal means “of or belonging to priests or the priesthood”.)
Legalists believe salvation is obtained through keeping the Old Testament law or some part of it, such as sabbath-keeping.
Easy-believers believe salvation is obtained through mere intellectual assent to the truths of the gospel, or through mere intellectual faith in Christ.
Decisionists believe salvation is obtained by merely deciding to become a Christian or what they call “deciding for Christ”.
Altar-callers believe salvation is obtained by those responding to their invitation to come to their “altar” during what they call their “altar call”.
Cultists believe salvation is obtained by following the teachings of their prophet or founder. – Daniel Parks
