HYMN OF THE DAY
Who Knew
Few were told that He would come, In the fullness of God's time.
God in flesh revealed to some; Prince of peace, the Lord Divine.
Angels sang He's David's Son; Find Him wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Shepherds went to see this One. He would free us from our woes.
God, the Father, sent His Son, To redeem His chosen ones.
Many men slept in that darkness, Not knowing the Lord had come.
They knew not the Lord Jesus; That salvation's of this One.
Mary told, "That Holy Thing, Born to her was from on High."
'Twas her Lord, the King of Kings; Christ, the Dayspring from on High.
God, the Father, sent His Son, To redeem His chosen ones.
Not the Babe born in a manger, But this Lord of heav'n and earth;
Is to be the One we worship; Lamb of God before His birth.
Men deserve God's arm of justice. God in mercy sent His Son
For His sheep He calls by grace, He alone is Salvation.
God, the Father, sent His Son, To redeem His chosen ones.

“HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL”
Isa. 9:6
Everything about our Lord Jesus is wonderful. Here the prophet says; “His name shall be called wonderful”. We sing that chorus; Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there is just something about that name”. There is “no other name under heaven given among men whereby we MUST be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
His birth is wonderful, Angels came to proclaim it, “behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is BORN A SAVIOR, which is Christ the Lord”. (Lu.2:10-11) What made His birth so wonderful? It was the Eternal God coming down and assuming flesh, uniting Himself to man through the womb of a Virgin. Once he assumed flesh, and became a Man, He would always be a Man. Oh, yes He is Wonderful.
His Life and Works were wonderful. His life was one lived in perfection, lived without sin before God and Man. His was a life lived not for Himself, but for His people. To bare their sin in His own body on the tree, to work out for them an everlasting righteousness for them. He did this by His Holy unblameable life lived in this sinful world, yet being without sin Himself. His works of Mercy and compassion, how wonderful were they? Listen to what was said of them; “But the men marveled, saying, what manner of Man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him! Men marveled at his words, at his deeds, at his compassion, his miracles. Oh, Yes He is wonderful in His life and works!
His Grace and Mercy are wonderful. Everyone who has “tasted that the Lord is Gracious”, know how wonderful his grace is. Consider the people to whom he has shown his grace and mercy. It is to Sinners, the ungodly, our Lord said; “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father for it seemed good in thy sight.” (Matt. 11:25-26). If any one of us received from the Lord God what we deserved, we would be utterly and eternally lost. But blessed be the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, “who hath saved us, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began”. (2 Tim.1:9) - Pastor
ALL DAYS – HIS DAYS
At this time of year when the name of Christ our Lord is used and abused by religion and the world, we who profess that blessed and glorious name rejoice in the fact that every day is His day, that every season is His season. Though, indeed, He was laid in a manger because there was no room for Him in the Inn, the most important point of our Lord's coming was the announcement of the Angel, "thou shalt call His name Jesus (Jehovah Saves) for He shall save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:2 1).
Also at this time of year, people get sentimental, put on plays, dress up like fools, sing special songs, yet - they do not know "He came to save His people ", they do not know, that He is not in the manger that it is not his birth we are to celebrate but we are to worship His glorious person as the God-Man.
Bless the Lord 0 my soul, that our Savior sits now at God's right hand, ever-living, making intercession for us. Bless the Lord O my soul, that He made an end of sins by the sacrifice of Himself. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable Gift. - Pastor
Psalm 115 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
