“Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
“Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart. Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they hear or refuse to listen.” vs9-11
Whether people hear or not is not our first concern. Chiefly, we want to give God glory, even if they kill us.
This heart of obedience is God’s gift with the fear of the Lord. We see His glory as our Great Redeemer, and then we owe Him. We are willingly under orders [Rom 1:14].
We owe Him because love bestowed demands love in response. We are under orders because He commands us,
“Do not be afraid of them,”
“Receive into your heart all My words,”
“Speak to them & tell them…Whether they hear, or whether they refuse.”
Don’t concern yourself with HOW MEN RECEIVE YOU. Focus on the grace of God and the good fear of the Lord - the fear that says, “I don’t want to sin against Him. I want to stay near. I want to obey, because it is best for us.”
